Children ages 4-14 are invited to enjoy the outdoors and beauty of one of the nation’s largest municipal parks as they catch-and-release fish on the weekend the Indiana State Department of Natural Resources designates a free-fishing day. In addition to fishing, kids can enjoy a cookout along with area mascots.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own fishing equipment, although a limited number of rods and reels will be available for them to borrow. Bait will be provided and no license is required to fish. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Pre-registration deadline is May 29 at 5 p.m. Registration forms are available at the Eagle Creek Park Office or online at www.eaglecreekpark.org. Space is limited to the first 400 participants.
