Lyles Station New Beginnings Celebration

One of the last remaining African-American settlements in Indiana has reported to be part of the Underground Railroad. The community of Lyles Station and descendants far and wide come together to celebrate what Lyles Station stood for, "freedom & success." The New Beginnings Celebration presents a full day of activities, including live entertainment, children’s games, cake walks all day, puppet shows, inflatables, horse & wagon rides, tours of the historic Lyles Station School and log cabin, corn hole tournaments & adult tri-cycle races. The festival is renowned for its food, featuring barbecued meats prepared on-site by the men of Lyles Station.
