Glorious Fourth at Conner Prairie
Join the residents of 1836 Prairietown in celebrating our country’s 60th birthday the 1800s way! Help decorate the town, join in historical games and dancing, sing patriotic songs, sample Muster Day cakes, and march and drill with the White River Guard. Hear a reading of the Declaration of Independence as the town celebrates the addition of the newest state by presenting a flag with 25 stars. Help us honor military veterans, listen to family stories of the Revolutionary War era, and toast to America! You won't want to miss the challenges in the Strongest Farmhands Competition or the Coleman Company of Comedians, a 19th-century traveling theater family that will invite you to join them in performances! Then purchase tickets (separate admission) and stay for Symphony on the Prairie's "Star Spangled Symphony."
