Wakarusa Bluegrass Festival

A 3-day festival featuring a mountain dulcimer ($) and a yodeling workshop ($), an open-mike bluegrass jam (free), a stage show ($) and a Sunday morning bluegrass gospel service (free). Primitive camping available. Guitars will be playing, banjos will be pickin' and bluegrass musicians will be singin' at the 9th annual Wakarusa Bluegrass Festival stage show on 6/8/2013. This open-air festival is held in a field surrounded by beautiful oak trees as a backdrop, as fans enjoy 12 hours of bluegrass music and entertainment. Featured bands are: Meyer Bluegrass Band, Lilly Mountaineers, Volume Five, Tommy Webb, Rock Island Plow Company and, for a change of pace, Master Yodeler Kerry Christensen. This is sure to provide a hand-clapping, foot-stomping good time for all ages. Food and beverage vendors will be on site . Veterans will be honored during the afternoon, and thanked for their service.
