Living History in Southern Indiana
Explore history and excitement in Southern Indiana. Enjoy one of Indiana's premier amusement parks and learn about one of the United States' favorite Presidents.
Day One
Spend a day (or two) in Santa Claus at Holiday World and Splashin' Safari, the world's first theme park. Holiday World is home to three of the world's top wooden coasters! Plus, you'll enjoy free parking, free sunscreen and free soft drinks!
Stay overnight at Santa's Lodge. Celebrate Christmas early in the festive setting of the lodge.
Day Two
Begin the day in Lincoln City at the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial. The memorial visitor center features a museum, and an orientation film. Then experience life in the 1820s at the Lincoln Living Historical Farm.
Grab lunch at Buffalo Run Farm, Grill and Gifts. Enjoy a wide selection of menu options including buffalo and ostrich burgers.
Then hike Lincoln State Park or swim, fish, and canoe. Enjoy the land of Lincoln's boyhood. Spend the night in one of their family cabins.
Day Three
In Dale, tour Dr. Ted's Musical Marvels. You'll get to see restored musical instruments, including a nickelodeon, music boxes, street organs, and more.
For lunch (or dinner), enjoy the Schnitzelbank, a local favorite in Jasper. Established in the early 1960s, this German restaurant has become famous for its Schnitzel, Sauerbraten, Kraut Balls and more. |
