Explore Indiana's Ohio River Country. From the historic streets of Madison and river wineries, to great casinos and scenic drives, this trip has it all!

Day One
Historic Downtown Madison Madison, a National Landmark, is a quaint river town surrounded by towering bluffs. Enjoy the Riverfront Park, antique shopping and 1800s period architecture. Several beautifully restored homes are open to the public, including the Lanier Mansion State Historic Site.

Visit Madison Vineyards, one of three wineries in the area, for a taste of their fine estate wines. Hike Clifty Falls State Park, offering scenic rocky gorges, waterfalls and more. Overnight accommodations are available at both Madison Vineryards and Clifty Falls State Park.

Day Two
Drive the Ohio River Scenic Byway to Vevay. Visit one (or all) of the many farm markets and U-picks near Vevay. One not to miss is Coyote Creek Farms. A trolley tour is the perfect way to discover history and the antique shops of Rising Sun.

Hillcrest Mansion in Aurora

In Aurora, visit Hillforest Mansion, an 1855 river mansion built by industrialist Thomas Gaff whose shipping interests are reflected in the home's architecture. Dine at and tour Chteau Pomije Winery & Restaurant near Lawrenceburg.

If gaming is your interest, then stop by one of these popular boats: Argosy Casino (Lawrenceburg), Grand Victoria Casino Resort (Rising Sun), or Belterra Casino Resort & Spa (Vevay).
