Meatball Sandwich
A Savory 16 Sandwich
The Historic Steer-In
A crusty baguette cradles three succulent hunks of veal, beef and sausage covered in marinara sauce and cheeses.
After its March 2011 debut on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, in less than two months, at least one person from every state and some parts of Canada arrived to polish off the real star of the show, the fat meatball sandwich. A locally-baked crusty baguette cradles fresh, bright-red marinara sauce, and three succulent hunks of veal, beef and sausage, all under a veil of browned mozzarella and asiago cheese. ($6.49)
