Each fall, the people of Fort Wayne invite visitors to celebrate the pioneer spirit of John Chapman, better known as Johnny Appleseed. The festival is enjoyable for the entire family, complete with a children's exploration area. Search for Johnny Appleseed himself as children learn about his legend. Taste delicious treats of all kinds, including old fashioned flavors. Stop by the blacksmith area to witness demonstrations throughout the day. Swing by the farmers market to find fresh produce, flowers and herbs. Celebrate at the gathering of the bands, complete with bagpipes.
