The Little Nail Shop is an adorable little salon on North Meridian Street and 96th Street. Whenever I’m feeling stressed I love to treat myself to a manicure or pedicure and the Little Nail shop was the perfect getaway! The staff and technicians were very sweet and inviting. My technician, Markeshia was especially endearing. We chatted about the weather and my classes, shopping and just nails in general.
The comfy chairs were probably my favorite part. Each nail station and even pedicure station, offered a huge white armchair with fluffy pillows for you to settle into and be pampered in. On the walls were great quotes like, “Life is too short to have boring nails”. I took this quote to heart and had Markeshia paint my nails with a gold glittery polish I felt was appropriate for the occasion.
While I was there, there was also a little girl’s birthday party finishing up towards the back of the salon. Markeshia said they have parties there all the time for little girls and judging from the eventual whining about leaving, I would say they enjoyed it! We laughed about how back when we were kids we just painted our nails with our girlfriends at slumber parties and how we wished we had had a salon like this one to go to.
I have never had so much fun getting my nails done. The comfy salon and great staff were easily the cherry on top. Though the scented lotion (sugar plum for me) and hot neck wrap were definitely top contenders!
