Adrian Orchards is located in the heart of Indianapolis- right off of 465- though being among the orchard and pumpkin patch, it definitely doesn't feel like it! The Orchard, having opened its doors in 1925, is now celebrating its 88th season and has been family owned and operated since day one.
Fun Fact: The current owner, George J. Adrian, holds the record for "World's Fastest Apple Picker" in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Earlier in October a few of the girls in my sorority and I took a trip down to the Orchards to pick pumpkins, enjoy the orchard and drink fresh cider. Not only was the scenery beautiful but the cider was delicious. And so were the caramel covered apples, made from homemade caramel and apples straight off the orchard. The cozy converted barn also sells seasonal vegetables, bottled cider and homemade pastries. They also had a bar b-que going!
All of my sorority sisters raved about the pumpkin patch for days and we definitely plan on going back!
