Family Activities in Lafayette/West Lafayette

While I was visiting Lafayette/West Lafayette the other weekend and soaking up all they offer in outdoor recreation, I also had time to visit their many family friendly activities.

Five Points Fire Station Museum is an 83-year-old fire station building that tells the history of Lafayette’s fire department and has old fire engines that kids can get up close and personal with. Gordon (our tour guide) was full of information and so helpful in answering our questions!Kathy’s Kandies was a perfect stop for all of us. Who doesn’t like a good treat mid-day? We snacked on popcorn, ice cream and homemade chocolate just to name a few items. We spent a good bit of time at All Fired Up, a paint your own pottery studio, creatively decorated to unleash your inner artist and trust me … I’m not that creative, but Annabelle (who was working) basically created magic on my mug!A fun stop one morning was Imagination Station. If you have really young ones along this is a perfect stop for them. It is a science center designed for kids to explore technology and science. And to think these are just some of the indoor options in Lafayette. If you are interested in their outdoor recreation stops, make sure and read Outdoor Recreation in Lafayette/West Lafayette. You will be planning your trip within minutes! :)

And a big thanks to the Lafayette/West Lafayette Visitors Bureau for assisting with my trip. You can find all sorts of info their website (including coupons and packages!) that you won’t want to miss.
