Free Summer Concert Series Returns to Kokomo


Looking for fun, affordable getaways for your family this summer?  Look no further than Kokomo.  Enjoy FREE concerts in Downtown Kokomo – all summer long!  Well-known bands and musicians will perform at the Kokomo Performing Arts Pavilion in Foster Park.  Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and even a picnic while enjoying these free open-air concerts.  Find details at www.KokomoSummerSeries.com.  2013 summer headliners include:

June 8 – RibFest featuring an Evening of Motown with The Contours with Sylvester Potts
June 14 – Georgia Satellites in concert
June 22 – 1964: The Tribute (to the Beatles) with the Kokomo Symphony Orchestra
June 28-29 – Kingdom Come Festival featuring over 20 bands in two days
July 4-6 – Haynes-Apperson Festival featuring Blue Oyster Cult, Here Come the Mummies, and Night Ranger
July 20 – Family Day in the Park featuring Peter Noone and Herman’s Hermits
July 27 –  Cyclefest featuring The Kentucky Headhunters
August 2-4 – Weberfest featuring Rich Mahan & the Cocktail Heroes, The Original Wailers, and Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players (plus over 10 other bands throughout the weekend!)
August 10 – Rhumfest featuring Kokomo’s own Sylvia & Rhum Academy of Music’s finest
August 17 – Taste of Kokomo featuring LoCash Cowboys
August 24 – Pink Droyd Laser Light Spectacular performing “Dark Side of the Moon”
