You may be familiar with the ever-popular and bustling Edinburgh Outlet Mall in Edinburgh, Indiana–but did you know that just 8 minutes away lies an amazing dining option?

Peppermill Cafe in Edinburgh, Indiana
Homemade bread abounds at Peppermill Cafe. Beer bread, Italian bread–whether served as a side or as part of a sandwich, it’s worth the trip alone!
But there’s more than bread. The part that goes inside of the sandwiches at this Edinburgh restaurant is simply incredible. Fresh and appealing, these are creative sandwiches with delicious results.
First things first: order their signature dish, Roasted Red Pepper Bisque. Oh my word, that is amazing. My husband, Jeremy, also ordered the grilled Italian sandwich, ham, pepperoni, provolone cheese, salami, banana peppers, black olives, red onion, and a few more combine to form one mouth-watering sandwich!
Peppermill Cafe Menu
I knew that the dessert here at Peppermill Cafe was homemade so I figured I should probably save some room. I opted for the Spinach Gorgonzola Salad.
Fresh baby spinach, Gorgonzola cheese, bacon, red onion, and topped with crisp bacon, a sliced hard-boiled egg, and served with a bowl of raspberry vinaigrette made this a real show-stopper of a salad!
Fresh-made beer bread made a lovely addition to a very satisfying lunch.
Bread pudding with whiskey sauce is always on the menu as well as changing seasonal desserts. Blackberry cobbler topped with ice cream was on the menu, and, well, I now know my superhero weakness and it is everything that comes out of the Peppermill Cafe kitchen!
Apparently Peppermill Cafe is too good of a small town secret: this fantastic small business is in danger of closing! Please, show your support and enjoy one of the best meals you will ever have in friendly and stylin’ Edinburgh, Indiana at Peppermill Cafe.
