Smartphone App Serves As Your Virtual Kokomo Tour Guide

Who wouldn’t like a personal tour of city your visiting by its mayor or local insider? Well if you’re looking for a white-glove tour of Kokomo – there’s an app for that.

The Kokomo/Howard County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau joined Indianapolis, Columbus, Grant County and Bloomington that have constructed apps to help visitors navigate their locale far better than, in my opinion, far better than Siri or Google could ever hope to.

The reason? Context.

The local team behind the site, who worked with a Hoosier app developer, also updates information within the app’s database so the user stays connected without the need to update the app. The app includes a home page, with rotating pictures of area attractions, as well as information on where to stay, where to eat, things to do, events and more.

The Kokomo app can be downloaded for iPhones, iPads and Android phones and tablets on the site and is free.
