Saying you’re not a chocolate lover is like saying you’re not a water lover, or an air lover. I mean, certain items are just necessary for survival.
While Indiana is blessed with epic and creative chocolate artisans in all corners of the state, our up-and-coming wine industry has already arrived to the many Hoosiers who know their vino.

Chocolate IN ADDITION TO these lovely grapes can be found at French Lick Winery and other Uplands Wine Trail locations in February.
Of course everyone is looking for a unique way to spend Valentine’s Day, so the Indiana Uplands Wine Trail created the Chocolate Lover’s Getaway event for February. I may just attend to thank them for their marketing brilliance, while at the same time stuffing my cheeks with chocolate morsels like the squirrel who who missed his hibernation deadline.
On two weekends in February, each winery on the trail will offer different chocolates carefully paired with a selection of wines. You can try the suggested pairings or create your own match with your favorite Upland wines. If you don’t have a favorite, TRUST ME, they’ll help you find one. No ticket needed for this event- just tell them that you are visiting the wineries along the Uplands Wine Trail (and that chocolate = life). The trail will also have “Around the World in the Uplands” tickets available to purchase.
