Hamilton County Haunts and Eats

If you live in or near Hamilton County, and are in the mood for some Halloween Haunts, you’ve got a few great choices you need to check out.Headless Horseman at Conner Prairie in Fishers, Indiana

First there’s The Headless Horseman at Conner Prairie in Fishers. There’s a campfire and Halloween treats, as well as several spooks and goblins, and, of course, the Headless Horseman himself. You can also take a haunted hayride and go to the barn dance. There’s one more weekend left to see the Horseman.

Stonycreek Farm in Noblesville has an inflatable haunted house as part of their Pumpkin Festival which runs until October 31. There are pony and train rides for the little ones, a blacksmith, a fishing pond, a straw maze, and if you miss the zipline from the Super Bowl, Stonycreek has a zipline that runs from a 30′ tower.

Stuckey Farm in Sheridan is a working orchard with 4,000 trees and 27 different varieties of apples. You can pick your own or buy them in the old barn. You can also watch them press cider or go for a wagon ride. You can even pick out a pumpkin among their 15 acres of pumpkins, as well as see what kinds of fruits and vegetables they offer.

Finally, there are several good places to eat in Hamilton County, including Mateo’s in Noblesville; the Nickel Plate in Fishers; and, Stuart’s Steak House in Sheridan.

For more information about any of these attractions, visit the Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
