Summer is certainly transitioning over to fall in just about every way. I’m daydreaming about apple orchards instead of pool days and replacing flip flops with boots. But if a visit to Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana was on your summer to-do list and you didn’t make it there, have no fear. With Holiday World Happy Halloween Weekends, the summer fun lingers well into fall.
This is a new event for 2012. Holiday World will be open each weekend throughout October. Not only will all your favorite rides from Holiday World be available (like Voyage, the #1 wooden roller coaster), but there will also be tons of seasonal activities to choose from. There will be corn mazes, hay rides, a trick-or-treat trail, and Halloween-inspired food. (Did someone say pumpkin funnel cake?!) Plus, they’ve added Halloween-themed shows perfect for the kids to the entertainment mix. Dress the kids up in their costumes and participate in the character parade.
On Saturdays, they will stay open past sundown so that you can experience the thrill of roller coaster riding in the dark. There will also be a laser light show. Sundays will feature a costume dance party.
In other words, you can experience so much of the best aspects of autumn and throw in a little thrill-seeking adventure with one trip to Holiday World.
For more information on Holiday World’s Happy Halloween Weekends, visit their website. General admission is $29.95. Guests under 54″ and seniors (60+) are $19.95. Children ages 2 and younger are always free. Tickets can be purchased at a discount online here.
