Are you as obsessed with Etsy as I am? Whenever I’m stumped on what to give a difficult-to-shop for person, it’s my go-to source for inspiration. (Like this t-shirt pictured to the left… what Hoosier wouldn’t love that?) If you’re not familiar with it, Etsy is a website where artists can sell their work and products to consumers interested in supporting small business and who love hand-crafted items.
But sometimes online shopping can be a bit tricky, and it’s also hard to develop a personal relationship with the artist crafting your item. So I love the idea of the Etsy Artists of Indiana event September 15-16 in Brown County. Artists from around the state who typically sell their products on Etsy will gather for a sale. There will also be live music and food and drink available for purchase.
This is a great chance to get ahead of your Christmas shopping list, while also supporting local artists. There will be everything from jewelry to pottery available.
Admission is just $3, with some of the proceeds being donated to charity. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Seasons Lodge and Conference Center in Nashville, Indiana.
