Two Indiana Towns on “Best Small Towns” List

The Santa Claus Christmas Store in Santa Claus, IN

Both Bloomington and Santa Claus, Ind. are finalists in Rand McNally and USA Today’s search for the country’s best small towns in its Best of the Road contest.

On June 15, ten amateur “road rally” teams begin visiting the towns in order to determine a winner.

Santa Claus made the “most fun” list and faces opponents such as Geneva-on-the-Lake, OH; Corning, NY; Delray Beach, FL; Denton, TX; and Buena Park, CA.

Bloomington, on the “best for food” list, is going up against Lewiston, NY; Charlottesville, VA; Burnsville, MN; Santa Fe, NM; and Walla Walla, WA.
