Because tens of thousands of people descend upon Indianapolis each May to run or walk in the 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, April is often a popular month for hard core running and walking around the state as participants prepare for the big event. Instead of hitting the pavement by yourself, consider signing up to join in a 15K in April to help your training efforts.
