11th Annual Lawrence County History Festival and Powwow

The 11th annual Lawrence County History Festival is taking place April 20 – 22, 2012 in Bedford, Indiana at the Bedford North Lawrence High School/North Lawrence Career Center.

The festival will showcase a Native American powwow and a historical timeline, including demonstrations of civilian life, as well as military drills and battles from the Revolutionary War through World War II. Visitors can also purchase food, Native American jewelry, crafts, toys, and even supplies and equipment for the re-enactors.Lawrence County History Festival

On Friday, the festival is only open to school children, and they’re expecting approximately 1200 students to visit from several local elementary schools and Bedford North Lawrence High School. But the festival will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday.
