The Indy Winter Farmer’s Market: A Local’s Love

After stepping inside the Indy Winter Farmers Market, I instantly felt at home.  The smell of amazing food, warmth of friendly vendors and chatter of welcoming customers made me feel immediately at ease.

Located downtown off of East Market Street in the west wing of the Indianapolis City Market, the IWFM is a hot spot for Indy locals. With numerous options for vegetables, baked goods, fruits, artisan products and other locally produced foods, it is hard not to fall in love with.

Though there are many fantastic vendors to visit and I have a few favorites.  Below is my top three “must-try” vendors:

1.) 240 Sweet: Who knew there were so many flavors of marshmallows?  Taste these eye-opening sweets and enjoy a marshmallow unlike any other.  A perfect holiday gift for the foodie in your family.

2.) 3 Days in Paris: After tasting one of these crepes, you will not be disappointed.  My recommendation is to follow the Dr.’s Order to pure happiness.  Filled with bananas, honey and walnuts, this crepe is sure to satisfy.

3.) Natural Born Juicers: Taste a great combination of fruits and vegetables.  With juices made from the products of other IWFM vendors, you know it has to be good.

Saturdays from 9 am to 12:30 pm, head over to the IWFM for spectacular Hoosier goodies – it’s a treat not to miss.  For more details on the IWFM and its vendors, check out their website.
