Jeffersonville Main Street Opens Ice Skating Rink

The Jeffersonville Main Street organization kicked off the holiday season with the opening of an ice rink in the city’s historic downtown district.

Visitors can skate Sundays – Thursdays from noon to 9:00pm and Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 10:00pm. The $8/person admission charge includes skate rental. Groups of 10 or more can skate for just $6/person.

Special events at the Jeffersonville Ice Rink include:

  • Tuesdays – Eat Local Night – Kids skate for $4 with receipt from a Jeffersonville restaurant
  • Thursdays – Shop Local Night – Kids skate for $4 with receipt from a locally-owned Jeffersonville merchant
  • Fridays – Teen Night – DJ from 7-10pm
  • Sundays – Skate with Santa Day from 1-4pm

The ice rink is open through January 1, 2012. However, you might consider visiting Jeffersonville on Saturday, December 3 to enjoy a holiday cookie stroll (free samples from participating downtown shops!), the Light Up the Holidays Parade and Light Up Jeffersonville in Warder Park. More information about the December 3 activities can be found here.

Jeffersonville is located in southeast Indiana, on the border between Indiana and Kentucky. Travel time from Indianapolis is just over two hours straight down I-65.
