Urban folk art might sound like an oxymoron, but it’s exactly what’s in store at the Monon Community Center in Carmel, Indiana this weekend. The Urban Folk Art Show travels the country as a community of independent artists to help newcomers expand their following and businesses.
Artists will be on hand to display and sell their original, handmade, contemporary folk art including homemade beauty products, candles, fashion accessories, handbags, baked goods, clothing, children’s items, jewelry and more. There will also be live music, demonstrations and do-it-yourself opportunities.
The Urban Folk Art Show will be open at the Monon Center in Carmel on the following dates and times:
Friday, November 4, 5:00-9:00pm
Saturday, November 5, 10:00am-5:00pm
Sunday, November 6, 10:00am-4:00pm
Admission is $4 per person. Those who bring a non-perishable donation to the Midwest Food Bank will receive a $1 discount. The cost of admission allows guests into the show on all three days.
