More November Fun in Brown County

While the lines of traffic and herds of fall foliage seekers may have packed up and fled Brown County at the end of October, next weekend presents a great opportunity to visit this always beautiful area of Indiana. With so much on the schedule, you won’t miss the now-fading fall colors one bit! Below I’ve listed a few highlights.

Chocolate Walk

Chocolate Walk on Saturday, November 12: Who can resist chocolate? This fundraiser for the Brown County Humane Society runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here. A ticket gets you chocolate samples from more than 30 different vendors.

Village Art Walk on Saturday, November 12: This fun event is held on the second Saturday of each month, April through December from 5-8 p.m. You can tour the 11 participating galleries throughout the evening and see the beautiful and unique works of art.

Cowboy Sweethearts at The Palace Theatre on Friday, November 11 and Saturday, November 12: This show will feature the songs of Patsy Cline, Brenda Lee and Loretta Lynn in what’s called “the concert that should have been but never was.” Both shows are at 8 p.m. You can purchase tickets online at the theatre’s website or call the box office at 812.988.2101.

Cabin Fever 5K on Saturday, November 12: Before you indulge in the fudge shops and fried biscuits that Nashville is famous for, burn some calories by running or walking a 5K course through the hills. The race starts at noon at Brown County High School. Cost is $20.

Also, be sure to pick up a Holiday Passport. This fun program kicks off on Friday, November 11. By completing a passport, you can win gift certificates, cash prizes, and Brown County getaways.
