Indiana Photography

Jill Mowrey is an award-winning photographer based out of Anderson, Indiana. Jill started her career as a graphic designer but with the economic downturn she got laid off from her job in 2006. Instead of dwelling in the past, she looked for a brighter future.

Jill has always been interested in photography and her took her small hobby into a successful business. Jill is most known for her subject, Indiana places. When searching her website, I came across many historic buildings, unusual artifacts and other peculiar things found in Indiana.

Jill’s work has been displayed in a variety of exhibits including:

  • Kokomo Art Association Photography Exhibit
  • In-Focus Exhibition Anderson Fine Arts Center
  • Creative Images Exhibition, Indianapolis Art Garden
  • Historic photo exhibit, Indianapolis State Capitol Building
  • South Madison Visual Arts Show
  • Fort Wayne Art 4 Sale Exhibition

In 2011 Jill was juried into the prestigious Indiana Artisan program which highlights the work of Indiana artists. She has also been awarded with the Riedel Memorial Award – People’s Choice, Honorable Mention KAA Photography and Honorable Mention In-Focus Exhibit.

Currently Jill is taking commissions and seeking gallery representation.

Basic prints are 11 x 14 with a 16 x 20 matte. Oak handmade-framed pieces are  $200 and matted prints only are $100 and larger prints are available with costs depending on size and frames. Painting/Mixed Media prices labeled on pieces. Shipping/Handling is actual shipping cost-plus $5.00 handling fee. Sales handled through PayPal or check. Coming soon will be a sales cart to handle credit card orders.
