Make It a Happy Momma’s Day

If your Momma always said “eat your vegetables,” then perhaps she’d be happy to toast Mother’s Day with Indiana-made Hoosier Momma Bloody Mary Maker. And if only the best is good enough for your Momma, then Hoosier Momma Bloody Mary Maker is the perfect drink for the occasion.

The all-natural, vegan and gluten-free recipe was developed by Erin Edds in 2010 when a New York event planner asked Edds to contribute something made in Indiana to gift baskets that were to celebrate the Indianapolis Colts’ Super Bowl appearance. By May 2010, Hoosier Momma Bloody Mary Maker was launched and now, just one year later, the mix can be found in over 170 locations in Indiana, California, Wisconsin, Kentucky and Georgia.

There are two ways to let Hoosier Momma help you celebrate your mom this Mother’s Day. You can order the Hoosier Momma Bloody Mary Bar in a bag at the special price of $17.99 by clicking here. You’ll get:

  • a jar of Hoosier Momma Bloody Mary Maker (specify original or spicy)
  • a jar of Momma’s Garden Dilly Beans and
  • a bag of Hickory Smoked Spicy Bloody Mary Glass Garnish

The price is good through Mother’s Day, but for delivery in time for Mom’s special day, orders must be placed by April 29, 2011.  You can also buy the Bloody Mary Bar In A Bag at the Trader’s Point Creamery Farmers Market or Indy Winter Farmers Market on April 30 for the same price if you mention the Visit Indiana offer.

If your Mom would be happier with a nice Mother’s Day brunch than a box of make-your-own bloody marys, you can still treat her to a Hoosier Momma drink. Seven Indy-area restaurants are hosting Mother’s Day brunches and are featuring Hoosier Momma Blood Marys on the menu:

1.       Iozzo’s Garden of Italy – 946 South Meridian Street

2.       Cafe Patachou – 4 locations

3.       Petite Chou – Broad Ripple and Clay Terrace

4.       Nourish Cafe at the Indianapolis Museum of Art

5.       The Loft at Trader’s Point Creamery – Zionsville

6.       Bella Vita – Geist Reservoir

7.       Barcelona Tapas – 201 N. Delaware St.

So c’mon. There had to be at least one time in your childhood that you drove your mother to drink. The least you can do is re-pay her by offering her a naturally sourced, simply delicious Hoosier Momma Bloody Mary.
