Looking Forward to Christmas at the Zoo

Lights at the ZooI’m surprisingly excited for finals week this year at Butler, this is normally the exact opposite sentiment most college students have during their finals week, but I can’t lie – I’m excited. I’m excited because during finals week this year I am going to Christmas at the Zoo. It has been probably a decade since I last went to a zoo. I have never been to the Indianapolis Zoo and I don’t think I have ever been to a zoo during the winter so it is going to be an exciting experience for me in many respects.

Christmas at the ZooChristmas at the Zoo, I have heard, is a really fun event to do. Many of my Butler friends have been and they all say it is a really memorable event to take part in. There will be food, animals, rides, carolers, etc. I am most excited about the Holiday Train ride and the Holiday Dolphin Show. Also I really want to see the All-A-Glow Light Show presented by Macy’s, which is supposed to be very exciting.

Christmas at the Zoo has so many events, shows, and Christmas themed spectacles that any family, couple, or person would find something fun and interesting to do and see. Christmas at the Zoo is free for Zoo members and included with regular off-season admission, which is $8.50 for adults and $6.50 for kids and seniors. Christmas at the Zoo continues until Dec. 30 so go as soon as you can. For those charitable souls a $1.00 discount is available for those who donate a new hat, scarf or gloves for St. Mary’s Children Center, which helps young children who are at risk for social, emotional, economic and environmental problems.
