Bazbeaux Pizza: A Slice of Perfection

Every college student loves pizza, and I’m no exception. It’s readily available, usually cheap and nearly always delicious. But occasionally I like to take a break from the standard national chain fare and give my tastebuds a treat. Those days are when I venture to Bazbeaux.

Located in the heart of Broad Ripple, Bazbeaux (pronounced bazz-bows) is a short drive from my home on Butler’s campus. I’ve attended countless birthday, family, and “just because” dinners here. With its food and chill atmosphere, Bazbeaux is the perfect restaurant to spend a few hours with friends in.

The menu at Bazbeaux is extensive and definitely is nothing like pizza from a chain restaurant. The restaurant has won the “Best Pizza in Indianapolis” Award for over 20 years in a row, a deserved title. The unique ingredients they use on their pies range from seafood to chicken to vegetables to pineapple to exotic cheeses, and they’re always fresh. My favorite selection is the Pizza Alla Quattro Formaggio, a dish that combines cheddar, mozzarella, provolone and huge gobs of rich ricotta with bacon and mushrooms to create a delicious crowd-pleaser that’s hard to refuse. My other preferences include their Margherita, Barbeque and Hawaiian- but I’d pretty much eat anything that they’d put in front of me. Bazbeaux is just another one of those Indianapolis restaurants that has nothing but amazing offerings.

Additional menu offerings include sandwiches and salads, and no trip is complete without some of their award-winning garlic bread (trust me, get it with cheese.) Pizzas come in sizes from 10-16 inches and range in price from $10-$23, a price perfect to split among a few friends.

With locations in Broad Ripple, Carmel, and one on Mass Ave., there’s a Bazbeaux near you. For more information on menus and hours, visit Bazbeaux website here.
