Frankey’s: An Anti-Holiday Shopper’s Dream

Frankey's in Broad Ripple Village

Do you despise mall crowds and overly-aggressive department store salespeople? Hate the way the perfume vendors heckle you into a sample of Givenchy’s newest scent that only makes you sneeze and your eyes water? Or perhaps it’s the racks and racks and more racks of clearance items that make you sweat just sifting through them.

To the fashionistas looking for that unique style for the Christmas season without the hassle of holiday shoppers and maniacal department store salespeople, look no further than Frankey’s. Frankey’s offers department store brands and styles in a no-hassle, less intimidating setting. Salespeople greet you but don’t hound you. Help you but don’t overly-suggest outfit after outfit. Their boutique aura offers a tranquil, unique and personal shopping experience.

Started in 2003, Frankey’s has thrived due to offering popular yet exclusive women’s fashion brands such as Elizabeth & James, Robert Rodriguez, Geren Ford, Jerome Dreyfuss and Cynthia Vincent. They are also known as a premium denim leader with brands ranging from Hudson to True Religion. Just in case the gentlemen felt left out, they added menswear in 2005.

I cringe at the thought of malls during the holiday season, so although I’ve been a fan of Frankey’s for about a year, I will especially seek them out in the coming months. So ladies (and gentlemen) interested in finding that cutting edge look for your Christmas and New Years parties without the all the craziness of Black Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, etc. shoppers, check out one of Frankey’s two locations:

  • 912 East Westfield Blvd. in Broad Ripple Village
  • 1300 East 86th St. in Nora.
