Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari…The Perfect “Stay”cation

Perhaps you’re a roller coaster fan…or a water park fan. Well if you’re a fan of either – or both - Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari is the place for you to be; and it’s in Indiana. The clean and friendly atmosphere and free all-you-can-drink soft drinks are enough to keep you coming back for more…but there’s so much more than that.

I’ve been to King’s Island, Six Flags and Cedar Point but none of these compare to the excitement that Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari offers. Holiday World features more than you can imagine with three unbelievable wooden roller coasters. The Voyage is actually the number one wooden roller coaster on the planet four years running, according to Golden Ticket Awards.

Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari doesn’t just have roller coasters though (as the word splashin’ hints). They also have an amazing water park with great water-slides. One of the more popular water-slide is the Zinga. The Zinga stands eight-stories tall and mixes a huge water-slide with an enormous funnel at the end.

Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari has made many great additions to their roller coasters and their water-slides, but in 2009, they promised more. So they had me wondering, “How are they gonna out do themselves this time?” Well they did it! The Wildebeest, according to Amusement Today, was also awarded a 2010 Golden Ticket Award for the best new water park ride. The Wildebeest isn’t just a water ride…in fact; it’s both a water-ride and a roller coaster formed into one. If you don’t believe me…you’ll just have to check out their website, holidayworld.com, or take my advice and just visit Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari for yourself.

Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari has been voted the cleanest amusement park in the world for 10 years in a row, with also the friendliest staff. Not to mention the fact that its the perfect “stay”cation for anyone in the Midwest. So if you’re looking for a good clean atmosphere with friendly smiling faces all over…then come to Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari…they’ll give you all of that and more.
