“BRICS” Ice Cream, a Solid Choice

Awesome place, even better Ice Cream. You should go.

Brics, the Broad Ripple Ice Cream Station, is one of the best places to get ice-cream in Indianapolis. Located on the Monon Trail, just south of 64th Street, Brics is set in a beautiful blue building (the former Broad Ripple Train Depot when the Monon Trail was the Monon Railroad line), allowing you to eat inside at one of their tables, outside on the porch, or continue your walk down the Monon.

Brics serves hand-dipped ice cream, sundaes, coffee, hot chocolate, soups, and sandwiches. The clean and classy set-up also boasts free Wi-Fi for any and all customers. Add their very friendly service to all this, and have a place with no reason to ever leave.

Brics is proud of all 30 of their flavors (sourced from South Haven, MI-based Sherman’s Ice Cream) , ranging from old-fashioned vanilla to their unreal version of Grasshopper Pie. I am actually developing a craving right now just talking about it: creamy mint chocolate chip ice cream with incredible moist chocolaty brownies mixed in. If only they delivered…

Brics serves generous scoops in your choice of a cup, sugar or cake cone. One scoop goes for $2.80. and 2 scoops goes for $4.50, and I promise the portions will not disappoint. Even the thought of their delicious 50 cent toppings is driving me crazy: crushed oreo cookies, hot caramel, crushed heath bars, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and many, many, more.

Brics is the place to go for Ice Cream in Indianapolis. Is it better than Coldstone? I’m not sure, I’ll have to keep trying the two daily. But there is no question that you all need to try Brics at least once. It’s not a chain and the location, building, and product our top notch. I suggest the Grasshopper Pie. I’m going to get some right now.
