It’s that time of year again. The weather begins to cool, the air feels crisp, and the apples are ripe for picking. If you’re looking for a place to relish in all that is fall, consider making a trip to the Apple Works Orchard in Trafalgar.
My moms group met there this week, and both moms and kids had a blast. We took a wagon ride through the orchard, picked our own apples, ate apple cake and drank cider, and then visited the petting zoo and took a train ride.
While Apple Works is a great spot to take children, it has something for everyone. The grounds are gorgeous—you can take in views of a small pond from the comfort of an Adirondack chair, or walk through the sunflower fields on your way to the pumpkin patch. And certainly don’t miss the store. Apple Works sells many varieties of apples, pears and other produce, as well as cider and baked goods sure to please every palette.
Apple Works is open year round, and hosts many groups and events. I’m already planning a trip back in December to pick out a Christmas tree.
