Uptown Jazz & Blues Festival in Lafayette, August 28, 2010

The Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce will play host to some of the best jazz and blues music in Indiana on Saturday, August 28 at the Uptown Jazz & Blues Festival. The festival draws 5,000+ jazz and blues aficionados for seven solid hours of cool jazz and hot blues.

The festival has three concert stages, the Back Alley Stage, the Time Out Lounge, and the Promenade Stage. There is also an after hours gathering at Indiana’s oldest bar, the Knickerbocker Saloon. The schedule is as follows:

Back Alley Stage

5:00 p.m. – The Big Swing Band
7:45 p.m. – Fremont Jackson & The Merchants of Groove
10:30 p.m. – Mississippi Heat

Time Out Lounge

5:00 p.m. – LSO Jazz
7:45 p.m. – Bleu Django
10:30 p.m. – Groove Catz

Promenade Stage

6:30 p.m. – Mo Trout & Jazz Works
9:15 p.m. – Jazz Mayhem

Knickerbooker Saloon

Midnight – Uncle Buck’s Mojo Box

Tickets for adults are $8 in advance, $12 at the gate, children 10 and under are $5 in advance or at the door, and babies are free.
