The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and Conner Prairie Interactive History Park delight audiences once again in 2010 with a variety of musical-themed nights under the stars. This magical summer is one not to miss.

July 9 & 10 – The John Denver Songbook – Hear Denver’s most cherished incantations of love and nature including Rocky Mountain High, Take Me Home Country Road and Annie’s Song.
July 16 & 17 – SCI-FI Spectacular with George Takei (AKA Hikaru Sulu of Star Trek) – Performance includes scores from Star Wars, Star Trek and Avatar. Plus, a fireworks finale!
July 23 & 24 – INDIE on the Prairie with Brandi Carlile – Come hear why Sir Elton John is so impressed with Carlile’s talent. Forte Tailgate Party at Saturday’s show.
July 30 & 31 – Tchaikovsky 5 – Enjoy a fiery repertoire of Tchaikovsky Fifth, Saint-Saens’ First Cello Concerto and Kimsky-Kosakov’s Russian Easter Overture.
August 6 & 7 – Time for Three: Classical Meets Garage Band – This eclectic trio blurs musical lines with unique renditions of a variety of music from classical to hip-hop.*
August 13 & 14 – Tribute to Michael Jackson – Come celebrate the unparalleled talent of Indiana’s own Michael Jackson.
August 20 & 21 – Duke Ellington Orchestra – Sing a long as Paul Mercer Ellington, Duke’s grandson, conducts hits such as Take the A Train, It Don’t Mean a Thing If It Ain’t Got that Swing and more.*
August 27 & 28 – Classical Mystery Tour: Music of the Beatles – Members of the Broadway cast of Beatlemania will perform great hits like Hard Day’s Night, Twist & Shout and more.*
September 2 & 3 – The Music of Buddy Holly & Friends – This surreal tribute to Buddy, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper featuring hits like Peggy Sue, La Bamba, Chantilly Lace and more.*
September 4 & 5 – River City Brass Band – Performing American classics, Big Band, swing, jazz and more. Plus, a fireworks final to close the season!*
*The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra does not perform at this show.
Purchase tickets at an area Marsh store, online or over the phone (800.366.8457) – $21 for adults; Or $26 night of the concert at the gate. Children ages 2-12 are $10 advance or $12 at the gate.
Also, good to know before you go:
- Shows start at 8pm.
- Parking is free.
- Bring a picnic dinner or grab something from Ichabod’s concession stand onsite.
- Bring a blanket or lawn chairs or both.
- And, balloon flights are available during concerts.
