Many girlfriend getaways involve manicures and shopping and ladies lunching. If you’re looking for a getaway of a different speed, you must check out The Girlfriend Ride, taking place in Columbus, Indiana on Saturday, June 19.
This event, which is a fundraiser for Turning Point Domestic Violence Services, is a friendly, girls-only bike ride. You choose your distance — 10k, 25k or 50k. And because it’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind, you can! Feeling good at the end of 10k and want to go for 25? Do it! Overestimated your endurance and want to do 10k instead? Totally up to you.
Along the paved route, you’ll find five Swag Stops where chocolate, massages and snacks are yours for the enjoying.
This event is perfect for avid cyclists and recreational riders alike. Bring your girlfriends, your daughters, your mothers. Register online for $25 or choose on-site registration for $35.
