2010 Italian Street Festival – Indianapolis, IN

This weekend, if you’re in the mood for some Italian, there’s no better place you can be than the Holy Rosary Italian Street Festival in Indianapolis. The festival will take place from 5:00 – 11:00 pm on Friday, June 11, and Saturday, June 12.

The Holy Rosary Church has sponsored the festival as a way to celebrate the Italian heritage of their church. The event started in 1934, but after a many year hiatus, was revived in 1984, and they’ve held it every year since. This two-night event features ethnic food and amusements, and attracts as many as 25,000 people.

If you stop by the Holy Rosary Church at 520 Stevens Street in Indianapolis, you’ll get to enjoy:

  • Authentic Italian food and drink
  • Live music and dancing
  • Amusement rides
  • Saturday Mass: 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Colorful Italian religious procession: 6:45 p.m. on Saturday

The church is next to the Lilly Corporate Center, just south of downtown, and right off I-70, between the I-65 north and south split. You can find a map to the Holy Rosary Church here.
