Still More Football in Indianapolis

There are a lot of people in Indiana who weren’t too happy about the way the 2009 NFL season ended, but you don’t have to wait until the fall to see more football action in Indianapolis.

The NFL’s annual Scouting Combine is an “annual job fair for prospective new NFL players” (NFL.com/combine). Players are given the opportunity for face to face interviews with many NFL teams and are put through workouts so each team can better gauge their interest in the new potential recruits. The combine is also where teams start to solidify their choices for the upcoming NFL draft.

The 2010 NFL Scouting Combine marks the 24th year the event has taken place in Indianapolis. The 2010 Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium from February 24 through March 2, so if you’re in downtown Indianapolis this weekend, don’t be surprised if you run into some of college football’s best and brightest stars or some of the NFL’s top coaches.

You can catch live coverage of the 2010 NFL Scouting Combine on the NFL Network or stream it on NFL.com/Live, and you can check out things to do in Indianapolis while you’re in town at our Visit Indiana Trip Planner.
