Day One

Never start a journey on an empty stomach. So in Wabash, county seat of Wabash County, grab a snack from Big Brick House Bakery or Modoc’s Market. Then head to the Wabash County Historical Museum and Dr. James Ford Historic Home for a little history.

Enjoy lunch at Market Street Grill or Eugenia’s at the Honeywell Center.

Then stroll beautifully landscaped Charley Creek Gardens offering a variety of areas to explore. Sweet tooths converge at Bowman’s Candy offering gourmet chocolates galore. Don’t miss Kitchen’s Plus for a wide selection of cooking tools everyone needs to make the perfect dish.

Enjoy evening entertainment at the Honeywell Center, including national acts such as Bill Cosby, Mary Wilson of the Supremes and musicals, like Church Basement Ladies.

Overnight at the newly restored Charley Creek Inn, offering scrumptious dining at Twenty and boutique shopping.

Day Two

Take a short drive north to quaint North Manchester for a day of shopping. Stroll downtown North Manchester with a fresh pastry from Nordmann’s Nook – yum and browse the shoppes: At Home Again for vintage gifts and antiques, Cottage Creations for home décor accessories, gifts, fresh & silk flowers and Creative Stitch Quilt Shop custom machine quilting and supplies.

For lunch, stop by KenapocoMocha Coffee Shop for soups, salads, sandwiches, pastries and, of course, coffee.

At One World Handcrafts, shop international gifts and home accents. Then explore the North Manchester Covered Bridge and Historic Manchester College.

Enjoy dinner at a local eatery, we suggest Mr. Dave’s or Main View Inn Restaurant.

Wabash County offers a variety of overnight accommodations for more information contact the Wabash County Convention & Visitors Bureau.
