One of the enduring Christmas plays, A Christmas Carol can be found in nearly every city in Indiana. Here are some of the different places you can see the Charles Dickens classic in your hometown.
Northern Indiana
- Valparaiso Metropolitan Opera House: Dec. 4, 5, 6; 11, 12, 13; 18, 19, 20
- Lafayette “A Downtown Dickens of a Christmas: Dec. 5, 2009 (not technically a “Christmas Carol” showing, but downtown Lafayette dresses up like Victorian Christmas characters. They’ll perform the last act before they light the big tree downtown.)
Central Indiana
- Indianapolis Repertory Theatre: Nov. 21 – Dec. 27, 2009
- Scottish Rite Theatre in Terre Haute: Dec. 17. The Crosley Radio Players doing a radio production that will also be broadcast live on WAXI 104.9
- Ball State’s Indiana Public Radio: Dec. 5. Live radio production in Emens Auditorium, simulcast on Indiana Public Radio
Southern Indiana
- Ripley County Rural Alliance of the Arts: Dec. 14, 2009
