There aren’t many marketplaces anymore. They’re a lot of fun and as we go into the winter months, many outdoor markets close down (such as the Chesterton European Market). There’s a new kid on the block as far as markets go and that’s the Sawgrass Marketplace in Chesterton, Indiana.
The Sawgrass Marketplace is making its home in the former Rangemaster Outfitters in Chesterton Indiana and id dedicated to allowing anyone to hawk their arts and crafts.
Home to 33 different booths, there’s a variety of different vendors all showcasing their wares, some locally made others harder to find.
Some of the vendors on display:
South Bend Candy Company – Candy and Chocolate
Tiger Lilly – Featuring Opportunity Enterprises Goods
Plank Works – Recycled Furniture makers
Irresistibly Chic – Designer Goods
Jersey N Stuff – Logo team clothing for men
Cloud Maker – Sells stained Glass items
And more!
There is also ample food to visitors to eat so that you can shop, eat and enjoy a nice market amble when the marketplace is open.
Currently, the market is open on Friday (12 Noon to 8pm) and Saturdays (9am-5pm). It’s located conveniently right off of Indiana 49, which is also easily accessible from all major Interstates running through the area.
It’s a lot of fun and I can’t wait to go back!
