My friend Jake told me about the Fulton County Trail of Courage, the weekend of September 19 – 20, the living history festival of pre-1840 re-enactors. The participants will host historic encampments and re-enact the French and Indian War, Seven Years War, the War of 1812, the Plains Indians, and the Woodland Indians (Miami and Potawatomi). Jake says he’s with “the rifle squadron,” but he can’t remember what they call themselves. I won’t mention his last name, so he won’t end up with a musket ball in his back. (Turns out it’s the .)

Visitors to the camp can enjoy traditional music and dance, fife and drum corps, bagpipes, and a frontier fashion show.

“Prudence is ready for a night on the prairie with her gingham dress and white bonnet. Note the plunging neckline that shows just the barest hint of collarbone. The high hemline flirts with the top of her ankle, showing that while she can be a little daring, she can still hang on to her Midwest sensibilities.”

Visitors can also see demonstrations of early American and Native American skills, including broom making, spinning, and candle dipping. You can also try different foods cooked in the pioneer style over wood fires, including buffalo burgers, Indian fry bread, venison stew, apple sausage, and potato chips.

    Hello,
India is the land of festivals and celebrations. There are some very important festivals which are celebrated by Indians across the world such as Dipawali (festival of lights), Holi (festival of colours), and Rakhi (festival of emotions).
