B+B+B = A+ fun at Madison Ribberfest

Looking for a fun way to say goodbye to the lazy days of summer? How does barbeque, blues and balloons (as in hot air) in a scenic setting along the Ohio River sound? Head to the Riverfront in Madison, Indiana for its annual Ribberfest celebration this weekend, August 21 and 22.

Friday, August 21
5:00pm — Gates open
5:00pm — Madison Bicentennial Birthday Cake Extravaganza at Brown Gymnasium – After the judging, it’s cake and ice cream for everyone!
6:00pm — Big James & the Chicago Playboys take the stage
6:30pm — Pig Toss (cornhole tournament) first of 3
7:00pm — Backyard BBQ Blast judging begins
8:00pm — Ruthie Foster takes the stage
9:20pm — Balloon Glow on Kentucky side of the river — SPECTACULAR!
9:40pm — Laser Light Show
10:00pm — Robben Ford takes the stage

Saturday, August 22
11:00am — Gates open
11:00am — Kansas City Barbecue Style Judging begins
1:00pm — Stompbox takes the stage
2:00pm — Pig Toss (cornhole tournament) second of 3
2:30pm — Hellfish takes the stage
3:30pm — Good to the Bone Rib Eating contest
4:00pm – Rev. Raven & the Chain Smokin’ Altar Boys take the stage
4:00pm — Pig Toss (cornhole tournment) last one
6:00pm — Ronnie Baker Brooks takes the stage
7:30pm — Pigmania Awards
8:00pm — Watermelon Slim takes the stage
9:30pm — Laser Light Show
10:00pm — The Hollywood Blue Flame take the stage

Advance sale tickets for the 2-day festival are $21. Click here to purchase online. Wristbands will be available for pick up at will call. Tickets purchased at the gate are $10 for Friday and $15 for Saturday. Kids 12 and under are free.
