So, have you seen the new movie, Public Enemies, yet? Well, did you know that John Dillinger was born in Indiana? That’s right, public enemy #1 of 1930s grew up in Indianapolis. If you want to learn about the man behind the legend check out these attractions, events and exhibits around the state:

Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis
Dillinger was buried at Crown Hill Cemetery on July 25, 1934. This July 25, is the 75th anniversary of the infamous bank robber’s burial at Crown Hill. Take the “Dillinger & Eastside Notables” Tour @ 7:30pm. The Tour will also be available on September 26 @ 7:30pm.
John Dillinger Museum, Hammond

Old Sheriff’s House and Jail, Crown Point
Open for tours Saturdays in July and August 9 am to noon. This is the jail that Dillinger made his infamous escape from. It also served as a film location for the new movie.
