Ladies, clear your charge cards. The annual Vera Bradley outlet sale will take place at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Ft. Wayne from Wednesday, April 29 through Sunday, May 3.
Vera Bradley, known widely across the country for its signature quilted bags, also offers a line of microfiber accessories and stationery. A $5 outlet sale registration fee will give you access to thousands of purses, wallets, overnight bags, stationery and more all discounted 40-75% off retail prices. Gentlemen, don’t worry. Each shopper is limited to $2,500 in purchases.

While Mom is out shopping, Dad and the kids may want to check out Ft. Wayne’s Science Central. Shhh! Don’t tell the kids they are learning because to them Science Central is all about fun. From the tidal pool to the giant bubble window to the weather station, it’s hard to say who will have more fun — the kids or the grown ups.
To cap off the weekend, take the whole family out to the ball game as the Ft. Wayne Tincaps, a minor league affiliate of the San Diego Padres, take on the Dayton Dragons on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3. In case you’re wondering, Tincaps is a nod to Johnny Appleseed who died and was buried in Ft. Wayne.
