Clifford, the Big Red Dog, has a close Kokomo connection. Many people do not know that Norman Bridwell, the well-known children’s author and creator of Clifford, is actually from Kokomo.  In his honor, the Kokomo/Howard County Public Library is hosting Clifford’s BIG RED Event on Sunday, Feb. 15.  From 2:30-5:00 p.m. there will be 20 guest readers from the Kokomo area reading Clifford books out loud in the library and cake will be served in honor of Norman Bridwell’s birthday.

The Kokomo/Howard County library will also present a special permanent exhibit entitled “Never Give Up on Your Dreams” in honor of Bridwell and new street signs will be unveiled to celebrate and to let those passing through our community know of Clifford’s special connection to Kokomo.  Kids of all ages are encouraged to come and join the fun!  For more information, call 765-457-3242 or visit www.khcpl.org.
