I recently posted about some great routes to take if your travels bring you to Indianapolis this fall, but if you’re interested in some leisure rides in other parts of the state, we’ve got a few here you might enjoy!
If your trip is planned for the fall, check out our Fall Leaf Cam and see when the leaves are changing in different areas of the state.
This is a great half-day ride that brings you through the softly rolling hills of south central Indiana. Be sure to stop off in Bloomington for some lunch at one of their great ethnic restaurants downtown and you can even do some outlet shopping in Edinburgh.
This ride brings you through the beautiful western Indiana countryside. Not only can you stop off for some lunch on Purdue’s campus, but you’ll drive right by two of Indiana’s great state parks, Turkey Run and Shades.
A relatively short ride, this route was voted BEST ROUTE during our Live Indiana summer promotion. This ride takes you through Peru, Wabash, Huntington as well as through the Salamonie and Mississinewa Reservoirs.
A personal favorite, this ride brings you through the rolling hills of south central Indiana. Be sure to stop off at the West Baden Springs and French Lick Resorts – they’re gorgeous.
We aren’t kidding when by calling this ride Northern Indian Lakes Country. When you drive through Winona Lake, be sure to stop by a personal favorite, Cerulean, for lunch, then enjoy the rest of your trip through Kosciusko County by countless lakes.
This ride brings you by many great stops. Check out the campuses of Valparaiso University in Valparaiso and the beautiful Notre Dame in South Bend. Also be sure to stop at the American Countryside Farmers Market on SR 19 just south of Elkhart. This also brings you thorough parts of Amish Country.
Our longest ride brings you all throughout southeastern Indiana and along the Ohio River Scenic Byway. On this ride, you can start near Rushville, and drive down the scenic and hilly US 52, then drive down the Ohio River through Vevay and Madison, by a handful of casinos, then head up through Columbus.
On our second-longest ride, you’ll drive through some great spots in Southwest Indiana. Not only will you drive through Evansville, but you can see the famous Roofless Church in New Harmony, French Lick and West Baden Springs Resorts, Patoka Lake, St. Meinrad Abbey and Holiday World.
