If you live in Indianapolis, you probably know about the Indianapolis City Market. Since 1821, the City Market has been serving the people of Indianapolis, as well as visitors to town. With the building originally constructed in 1886 there is plenty of history, but it was also in need of some repairs and upgrades. For the past year there has been construction at the City Market for new renovations. Well, the renovations are finally complete and the brand new City Market is open for business.
The Indianapolis City Market is open Mon-Fri 6-6 and Saturday from 10-4 and from May to October, they host the Indianapolis Farmer’s Market each Wednesday from 10-1:30 on Market Street between Delaware and Alabama Streets. It’s a great place to drop by in the middle of your work day to pick up some of the freshest food you’ll find in the city.
