Miss Indiana State Fair 2014
Miss Indiana State Fair 2014 is Alyssa Garnett of Winamac, Indiana – the third representative of Pulaski County to reign as the Indiana State Fair Queen in the contest’s 56-year history. The daughter of Joe & Cyndi Garnett is a 20 year-old student at Purdue University majoring in Business Management.
Miss Garnett is a 4-H and FFA alumnus and member of Delta Gamma sorority, Purdue Investment Club and Krannert School of Management. She is also active in the Star City United Methodist Youth Group, Human Services Toy Store and annual Adopt-a-Family, as well as volunteering at Rosewalk Nursing Home.
Alyssa is a Purdue Presidential 4-Year Scholarship winner, 3-Time UCA All-American Cheerleader, former high school Class President, and member of the Dean’s List and National Honor Society.
She enjoys bass fishing, volunteering at the Fair Oaks Dairy Education Exhibit, ballet, wakeboarding, Mexican cooking and campfires with family and friends.
As the 56th Indiana State Fair Queen, Alyssa will visit over 35 county fairs, festivals and queen pageants in June and July promoting the 2014 Indiana State Fair before serving as Official Hostess of the annual event, August 1-17. She will crown her successor during the next Indiana State Fair Queen Pageant, January 2-4, 2015.
