Denae Michelle Pyle
Miss Indiana State Fair 2010
Miss Indiana State Fair 2010 is Denae Michelle Pyle, the daughter of Mike and Cindy Pyle of Silver Lake, Indiana. The 19 year-old is a sophomore at Purdue University majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management. She is the first representative of Kosciusko County to reign as the Indiana State Fair Queen in the 52-year history of the contest.
Miss Pyle is a 10-year 4-H member, previously named the Indiana State Fair Fashion Revue Overall Champion, and has attended the 4-H National Convention and 4-H Washington D.C. Achievement Trip. At Purdue, she is a member of the Glenwood Cooperative (Top New Member), Dean’s List, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. Denae has also participated in numerous community service projects, including Hair Auction for Riley Children’s Hospital and De-Trash the Wabash. She is also the former Manchester High School Student Body President, Hoosier Girl’s State delegate and studied a variety of dance for 14 years.
At home, Denae enjoys raising Golden Retriever puppies, helping her dad restore a 1966 Chevy Chevelle, sewing, cooking, country music and cheering on the Purdue Boilermakers.
As the 52nd Indiana State Fair Queen, Miss Pyle will visit approximately 33 county fairs, festivals and queen pageants in June and July promoting the 2010 Indiana State Fair before serving as Official Hostess of the annual event, August 6-22.
